Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) Piacenza campus was founded in January 1953. Its flagship programs in Economics, Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences are very strong, due in part to their research centres, specialized labs, and teaching methodologies. With the subsequent development of two other programs in Law and Education Sciences, Piacenza campus hosts today over 2,600 students. It is an authenthic university campus, with two dorms, a sports centre, a library, and all other facilities for students and staff.
The 1:1 professor/student ratio at UCSC Piacenza provides a quality academic experience. It is a highly specialized structure, with technological labs recognized by Sinal (National System for Lab Accreditation), and with important connections with the professional world both within the country, as well as abroad. Numerous internship and exchange programs such as Erasmus, Summer Programs, bilateral exchanges with non-E.U. institutions and the Double Degree in International Management are offered in order to allow students to employ and improve their acquired knowledge and skills throughout the globe.

It holds a key position in the Italian food valley, where many leading companies are based, and boasts a strong identity and refined culinary traditions. Its centrality in the Italian Food Valley, the heart of Italy’s agri-food system, and its peculiar attention for international relations and experiences make it ideally situated for studies including Agribusiness and Business.
