End of second study block at ESB
It seems as though the semester just started; however, it has already flown by and our 46 MIM students have left the campus to begin an internship or start writing their Master Thesis. This was the largest MIM group we have hosted here in Reutlingen so far which made it challenging to take such a large group on company visits. However, we did manage to squeeze in a very interesting “I.N.S.I.D.E.” visit to the Hugo Boss headquarters in Metzingen on May 2nd, and enjoyed another interesting tour of the Daimler plant in Sindelfingen on May 3rd, 2016.
Hugo Boss organized a full-day of interesting topics for our students focusing on the finance, sales, accounting and management areas of the business. Thank you to Jana Schaber, Junior Manager Talent Acquisition and her team for all of their efforts in making this visit possible.
Daimler also gave the students an inside look at how they build their famous Mercedes Benz automobiles including the new Maybach model. Afterwards, they explained to us what all Daimler is involved with as well as presented various internship and employment opportunities including their training programs that they have to offer. We owe a big thank you to Ms. Sabina Pieper, Global Talent Acquisition and Development! Hopefully some of our MIM graduates will pursue employment with one of these well-known companies.
We ended the semester with a final get-together over lunch and refreshments on May 23rd. We wish all of them a successful rest of the programme and all the best in their future endeavors!
